It isn’t a fan and it isn’t a sprinkler. Forced through a 0.5 mm brass orifice at hose pressure, water atomises into droplets so fine they never reach the ground — they change state in the air above your head. Evaporation absorbs heat. The air in that column gets colder, and it sinks. That’s the whole trick, and it’s been cooling restaurant patios and horse barns for decades.

Two O‑rings sit inside every collet, which is exactly where the cheap tube kits fail. HeatHalo seals at the fitting, not with tape and hope.

Legs swing out and lock. Flick the three cam levers and pull the column to any height — ankle height for the dog, overhead for the table.

Standard 3/4” garden thread one end, push‑fit collet the other. 32.8 ft means the stand goes where the people are, not where the tap is.

Will the nozzles clog in hard water?
Eventually every misting nozzle scales — anyone claiming otherwise is selling you something. The difference is what happens next. Plastic tips are moulded shut and get binned, often inside six weeks. HeatHalo heads are solid brass and unscrew by hand. Soak them in 50/50 vinegar for two hours, rinse, thread them back on. Four spares are in the box.
Is it going to blow over?
The tripod is cross‑braced and opens wider than most camera light stands, and water in the line adds low anchor weight. In gusty conditions drop the column a stage — it lowers the centre of gravity and the mist still lands where you want it. On grass, stake the feet.
Will it soak me, my food, or my furniture?
No — that’s the entire point of a 0.5 mm orifice. Droplets that fine evaporate in the air instead of landing as water. You feel a temperature drop, not a spray. If a surface does get damp, an arm is aimed too low; bend it up and let the mist fall through the air.
Does it need electricity, a pump, or batteries?

How much water does it use?
